Instead of having a single electrode, they have two,. model: BOSCH Super R1-282. I noticed that they are pretty dirty and they look kind of old. Is there a way to tell when they're no good anymore? There is no indication of what the gap should be under the hood or in the manual. If I need to change them, do you recommend I stay with two electrodes or do something else?? __________________ canadian_ti 1997 Acura CL | | | 07-28-2005, 04:35 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Lake George, NY Posts: 338 | bosch F7LDCR or NKG BKR6EK both are dual tipped and there is always a lot of discussion over which spark plug is better... i really have no idea. I'd go with NGK BKR6EIX. | | | 07-28-2005, 11:05 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Canada Posts: 101 | I got some NGK's BKR6EK,.. they're sparking,. and that's what counts! __________________ canadian_ti 1997 Acura CL | | | 07-29-2005, 01:14 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | ti's come with NGK dual-electrode plugs in the stock form. you can stick with them or go with the bosch's, either one is fine really. the correct plugs are gapped correctly from the factory. if your engine is running fine, they'll come out looking a little rusty. not too much soot, but light brown in color. if you check out a haynes manual, in the back there's a picture guide for this. | | | 09-14-2005, 03:51 AM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: colorado Posts: 10 | hell i just put in the bosch+4 and lemmi tell yea wow a world of difference.. the theroy is the more prongs the more of an even distribution. so u get a better fire. i would stick with the platnum 4 from bosch there perfect. plus you dont have to gap them. there pregaped for your engine... its perfect | | | 09-14-2005, 04:41 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | the success of marketing. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
