Default Passed SMOG!! & More canyon =D

So it was the time of the year and needed to smog the ti.

To my surprise, I passed without a problem, it passed with flying colors and everything was super low - if anyone is interested I can also include numbers.

Now the reason why I was so surprised, is that I have the BBTB and the 91 oct Midnight tune. I do have to hand it to Barrie for doing a good clean tune.

So I was up the canyon again.. this time to cruise - that was the plan.

Some guys went for a run, and I decided to chase a bit, it was fun but on the way back to the center, I went a bit wide on a corner and hit a rock.
.
.
.
Needless to say the rock won.

You have to understand this was around 1am, so I settled down took a nap in the car and when the sun came up got a friend to drive me down to swap out my wheels. I have to say it was a absolutely beautiful day.

Default Pictures!! Beautiful day.

Since it was early in the morning and nice outside I used my friends cellphone and took a few pictures.

Enjoy!

I have a lot more, but I don't want to bore you all with too many of the same kind of pictures lol.

I'm a huge fan of the direction you've taken with your Ti, muy bien.

Also, how does the ACS bumper mount to the front? Any different than the OEM bumpers?

Thanks!!

If it was a original ACS it would mount like the oem one, since I have a crappy fiberglass one I just use zipties. . . even with my oem bumper I use zipties now.

Do you mind showing some close up shots of the tied down and the fiberglass moldings? It looks good BTW, very interested

Ya sure I can, but i won't be able to get pictures until the weekend.

I can tell you right now, the black line you see on the licence plate is actually more then one ziptie that is holding the licence plate on, as well as the bumper. the sides have little holes that I can put a zip tie through and since its on the lip that tucks in you can't really see it.

But pictures will make more sense in a few days.

With this picture I circled the places where zipties are used;

This picture just shows the hole circled that I used to put a zip tie through.

Its not that clear but hopefully it gives you a better idea.

Lastly, its been a fun journey with this car and driving on it, working on it, playing mechanic.

But its time for it to go all stock again, I am going overseas for work in a couple months and no time in the foreseeable next couple years. As a result it seems like for this car and this thread it has come to a end.

This thread was not a real "build" thread I guess, no crazy swap happened, nothing earth shattering, no "stance" with crazy stretched tires and what not, just maintenance, some "exploration", and mostly a lot of driving .

The journey was mostly under the "skin", so no dramatic change in look, but it do through different phases:

Stock:

Different No-Bumper Phases:

And of course as the thread title says, its all about the canyons.

Enjoy and keep it safe!

And well, I will let you find the other pictures of this journey in this thread .

Its been good!

Thanks everyone!
