Default Nice to have been met.. :-)

Purchased a 96 Cali edition from Florida that I have been working on. Thnks to the search here, I have found ways to do it. Working on a slight idle problem that I chased the problem to being ignition wires. But it has been fun working and learning about it.

The previous owner saved every bit of paperwork since 96 including the window sticker and the cali edition pamphlet and every receipt of everything it had done to it since new. Its cool to read through this stuff. I always wanted a 318ti and never knew it came with the cali top. So when I saw it I just had to have it.

That's getting more and more rare. I wish mine came with all those goodies! Maybe one day I will get lucky.

Man, looking through the receipts of service that has been done to this car, and the recent maintenance that I have done. This girl is expensive. Lol I have never owned a BMW before and I have to say I was price shocked at some of the things that cost for it. It had a cracked icv and I ended up buying a used one from a member here because even the aftermarket junk was pricey. I like to keep everything oem, and then I saw the price for oem ignition wires. Yikes! But its a fun little car and I don't mind paying a little more for such a cool little car. Plus my little girl loves the top.

BMW's aren't too bad as long as you can do the work yourself. Labor is EXPENSIVE!
