Nah, I was just trying to motivate the op to getting it and restoring it. But I lowballed the crap out of it and I got an email stating that it sold for $500. So who bought it?

I dont know how offering $250 would be an insult seeing that the guy "doesn't know much about the car" and probably doesn't want it sitting on his property anymore. But I respect the fact that you dont want to insult him.

No man, I wish I would have. But I didn't see the listing until it was too late. There is one in my town (that actually runs and seems to be in pretty good shape). The owner wanted to do a straight trade. His 97 318Ti for my 98 328i sedan. Lost his number, but I see him driving around town. Girlfriend couldn't stand the idea of trading after all the work I put into it. Haha.. If anyone finds another deal like this, let me know. Sedans are lame, haha.

And by deal, I mean one I can restore.. not a trade.
Already heart broken about missing this deal.

Edit: Busafreak, I had hoped that's what you were doing, and in reality if you were actually going to buy it I would have offered to buy it off you for the $500 after you took the bumper/moldings off. Lol.

Oh man, sorry to hear that you didn't buy it. Would of been nice to see it get restored. I saw it about a month back when I was looking to purchase one, but really didn't know they are so hard to find here in the midwest. So I passed it up. If not it would of been in my garage. Better luck next time I guess :-) Btw, I offered $250 to see what response I would of gotten.

I would have had to paint it, my sedan is black, and my last two cars were also black. I just can't do black cars anymore, haha. Technopurple is more my vibe. Too bad I never see any that I can get to restore.
