Most people didn't even know they existed, but most commonly people mistake it for an M3. I hate to break the news that it's a four banger, but that's soon to change, lol. __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 06-25-2008, 11:16 PM | #18 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | there's actually a Corrado where I live, it's not a bad looking car IMO, and you very rarely see odd cars like that in Vermont because of the rust, I've never had someone mistake my car for something else, prolly since I have all the badges on | | | 06-29-2008, 06:31 AM | #19 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Nashville, TN Posts: 699 | I have all the badges on mine and one of the girls I work with was like "what kind of car is that?" of course I gave her a funny look since there IS a BMW symbol and my plate says "MY1BIMMER" lol. I then calmly explained it is a rare BMW. Down here it pretty much is. I think I have seen 4 or 5 since I got mine in January. __________________ Steffen, they are F's not V's. That front air dam looks outta' place without sideskirts/ground affects and no back diffuser. I do like those old school wheels though. I had a 2002 tii with that style. Very german. Those look like 14's or 15's. I remember the days when I 'dreamed' of 15" wheels (it had 14' mini lites) and VR tires for my tii lol | | | 07-03-2008, 06:58 AM | #22 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: Vancouver, BC Posts: 23 | Quote: Originally Posted by Moose That front air dam looks outta' place without sideskirts/ground affects and no back diffuser. | Now that you mention it, you're right. I didn't look closely enough at it. I just kinda picked a picture off google image. The front air dam looks pretty silly without any side skirts. Wouldn't mind a small duckbill spoiler in its place. I think the Mk1 Scirocco had better lines than the Mk2. The Corrado looks more like a Mk1 Rocco to me than a mk2 rocco (imo)... but I digress. A ti looks better then all those | | | 07-03-2008, 07:10 AM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2008 Location: Nevada Posts: 259 | Quote: Originally Posted by nesticle Now that you mention it, you're right. A ti looks better then all those | ti is obviously better looking. Each car has it's own beauty though. The Scirroco has it's followers too. Teh ti and 'rocco are def' similar in body style. That's where the comparison stops. Ti' is a class above that VW. As stated above lots of folks have never heard of the ti' so sometimes they just guess. Mines debadged (by previous owner's choice not mine) and I get the 'what model is that?' all the time. I've also got more female attention with it. A girl I've been trying f*c* for the last 5 years with no luck actually asked me out the other day to go skating. Doubt I'd be getting as much play if had that silver Scirroco Sad but true.... | | | 07-04-2008, 01:39 AM | #24 | Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: Atl, GA Posts: 44 | Quote: Originally Posted by thesk8nmidget hahahah and i thought people mistaking my car for a m3 was bad an x5? and a civic?
