Will these fit on my ti without modification

Im looking at picking up a set of 225 45 r17 rims from a newer 3 series. I don't know the first thin about wheel size compatibility. Does anyone know if these rims will fit my 97 318ti without any modification to the fenders? Will my car look like it is sitting really high? If so should I consider lowering the suspension well?

Many e46 wheels fit just fine as long as the wheel offset is right. Search around on this site for the offset requirements for the ti, I can't remember what they are off hand. There are plenty of discussions on this topic in this site which you can search through.

I have style 96 wheels from an e46 with 225 45 17 tires which bolted right up, no problems.

this was posted a couple days ago, you shouldn't have any problems getting those wheels to fit
