Iphone is working great!! We need to look into the leak in your car, are you going to the meet saturday? And more importantly, are you getting a 4 point strut tower bar?

Thanks for the pointers guys and the x brace is also part of my plans and for the rest of the crew. I just hope this guy can find the time to get it done for us quickly!

When is somebody going to come up with a picture of this thing? I'm curious to see how this ties back into the frame to make any kind of major improvements. Kind of hard to commit to something without having any clue of what it looks like, or how it works.

This picture should help you get a visual, keep in mind that this particular example is not what we will get and this one looks weak compared to the design that we are looking at.

It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

OK. So what exactly is that connecting to in the front, and how would that increase rigidity? I don't think I've ever seen a strut bar of that type of design on any BMW track cars, and Ireland Engineering doesn't sell anything like that. Really need to know what it connects to at the front.

believe it connects to the chassis or in a easy term the front bar right under the hood. right above the headlight housing. ill see if i can find a pic to demonstrate.

if i remember right lazoh said it should connect around here:

hmm... well we'll have to see and find out how well it works or not. one way to find out, right? i may not know much about modifying cars as much as others do on this forum but im sure lazoh's guy knows what he's doing. it should tighten up the body, no? ...he has been working on other car modifications like that b4...
we'll see, we'll see...

The only thing that will tighten up is the front support bracket, which has nothing to do with your suspension. Waste of time/money going further with this IMO. Like stated above, if IE isn't making/selling one, it probably doesn't do anything. Just my 2 cents, not bashing.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion, I just hope that the people that stated that does not work or it does nothing have some REAL autocross experience and I state experience I do not mean a driving class with the BMWCCA, Porche, etc. Ireland Engineering does not sell this and that is not what I stated in my post. What I stated in the post is that the shop making the 4 point bar does most of the fabrications for Ireland's race cars.

Going back to the original topic of this thread, I have 3 or 4 people interested in getting this: Lazoh, HuGo, Bobbak & Marv17
