Arrow dasc install

hey...
name is zack and i live in edison,nj. purchased and recieved dasc kit and i am having it installed by a bmw cert. mechanic. as far as i know, he is no FI guru. so i was wondering if there was anything i should consider replacing/upgrading while the plan is to add strain to the engine. any other advice would be appreciated since this is the beginning of my engine's transformation.

thanks..

Nice!!!1 Do you have m44 or m42 ? You should contact NickG @ www.techniquetuning.com if you want more power out of the DASC.......

I depends on what you want from the car. Nick G's stuff is good, but if you keep making changes to the car you are going to want the flexibility of a PC III or some other Piggyback ECU.

The Nick G. stuff is a close to OEM as you can get so driveability will be great. with a piggy back unit you are keeping the stock ECU and changing singnal voltages, so it will work but you may have some kwirks here and there.

With a Piggyback if you chane something you can retune. With software you will have to pay to have your car re-tuned.

I completed the install on an M44 over a 3 day weekend. It took me about 20 working hours. I am pretty anal and made sure that everything was clean and tight.

Only general mechanics tools and paitents are required.

I installed mine with a friend in about 13 hours. The instructions are excellent and the kit includes everything you could possibly need. It's a PITA, but if you take your time it is a great way to learn about your car and how and where everything is. Highly recommend doing it yourself. Honestly it's pretty hard to screw up as long as you follow the instructions.
