Default Dismantling hatch trim pieces?

Alright so the locking system for my hatch is broken...

I need to get it out and replace with another one that I just got. I know that this part is held in by 3 torx screws.

The problem is that I can't figure out how the trim pieces come apart. All I can see are 2 plastic clips holding in the lower trim piece at the bottom (Part 1 in the 1st diagram)

I'm not sure how these come out without getting broken. And based on these diagrams, it looks like there are a lot of internal clips behind the trim attaching to the body and the sound deadening material inside.

Can somebody tell me how to take this thing apart?

Thanks and sorry for being such a lurker.

you need to push in on the pin in the center of the clip, it won't break it but they'll fit kinda loose afterward if you don't put the pins back in, might want to buy a couple just in case, after that just grab the panel by the handles and pull it off, some of the clips that hold it on the back will probably stay stuck to the trunk, just pull them off with pliers and reinstall them on the panel

Thanks so much, that worked perfectly. On the downside, when I took the trim piece off, I discovered that a bunch of the clips weren't even there to begin with. Oh well.

I installed the new latch..
It was kind of a huge pain in the ass, but everything works again.

Thanks again.
