If you think about it it is the lightest, probably the best in mpg and it just one the coolest looking BMW's made. It might also be the cheapest but it could have the ability of being a sleeper considering that either a s/c or swap would give it alot of power in a little car. I love the Ti always will and i hope someday i can pass it on to my kids. | | | 12-20-2005, 04:28 AM | #51 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by DustenT What is an AMC Gremlin worth? | Depends how much gas is in the tank. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti 2003 MINI Cooper S 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 12-20-2005, 04:34 AM | #52 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | Quote: Originally Posted by myblueTI I think that the Ti is the smart mans BMW. I also love how it is considered rare, it makes me feel special | | | 12-20-2005, 04:34 AM | #53 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | Quote: Originally Posted by Gunnails Yes, and no she isn't yet, and I did not like the movie, in the 70s and 80s when I drove the Gremlin, it was not at all cool to own one, I put the best stereo I could afford in it, cranked up the Judas Priest, and wore a hat, lol. They are almost the same chassis, but i like the Ti styling more than the z3M for sure. and yea, maybe the hatches slumped in sales here in the US, but in Europe they did well enough to progress with the 323ti with the e36 and then a new line with the e46. | | | 12-20-2005, 03:03 PM | #59 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | Ford Europe is an entirely different car company than Ford USA. Ford Europe is essentially a German automaker, with an American moniker. You may say its only a Focus, but its definatly no ordinary focus. It has a Garrett turbo, Sparco seats, O.Z. 18" wheels, Brembo 4-piston brakes, carbon fiber center console, and a much more aggressive body style. Its not just foreign companies holding out on the U.S. for all the good stuff. | __________________ 1998 (July) 318ti, 5-spd OEM Armrest Blaupunkt Heidelberg CD50 CD Player/Compact Drive MP3 Player Diamond Audio 5.25" rear speakers Navman ICN 530 GPS BMWALARM.COM (with comfort settings) after market alarm system Magnecor 8.5mm wires M-Z3 Shifter/Momo Knob Burlwood Dashboard Stromung Exhaust X-brace Racing Dynamics Front Strut Bar Carbonio C.A.I. 17" Rial Rims Vader Seats/Heated/Lumbar Support M-tech Steering Wheel/Front Sway Bar/Front & Rear Bumper Depos/w 6500K Angel Eyes/6000K HIDs Clear Corners M3 Mirrors UUC Light Weight Flywheel/M5 Clutch/M3 Clutch Slave E28 3.46 LSD/Mcoupe Cover/E30 Flanges & Halfshafts UUC S.S.
