How about "Heckschaden"?
I think "Heckschaden" will be too long to fit. I can't seem to find a good short German word.

I like "Luftwaffe". It sounds cool, even if you've never heard the word before, plus it has a historical reference, it will fit on the plate, and it's non-offensive to reasonable people.

How about HECKLOS as in "Was ist mit dem Heck los?" = What's with the tail? / It has no rear end.

Sort of like a ti version of the old Wendy's commercials, but insteado of "Where's the beef?", it's "Where's the tail?".

I wanted to write tail-less but that sounds a bit funny. If it fits, I like the look of OHNEHECK = without a tail / rear end, which could mean the car's without a tail or that you do things without a tail.

OHNE HECK on a long plate with stickers in between would be fun, but four letters would be one too many for a town abbreviation.
