Another 1 of mavs stupid kill story; Sorta....

So, a friend of my supervisor needed a ride to his apartment while I was working at around 4pm. So I take him, and drop him off. As I was getting out of the drive way of the apartments, I see this yellow s2000 come over the hill with all the lights on. So I pull all the way to the left lane (on a 3 laned road), so that I don't get in anyone's way. As the s2000 passes by, I notice a kid in the passenger (the top was down) turning his head around to look at me, then I see him say something to the dad driving the car. He's going 60mph, and I'm still accelerating from 35mph. At that point I decide to gun it and see if I could catch up with him, which he's probably only 4 car lengths ahead. The kid says something to the dad again, and he looks in the mirror, and he guns it too. So I'm like at 60mph, and he's probably at 65mph at that point. I slowly begin to catch up. Eventually I get to his bumper, and we're both at 85mph or so.

Unfortunately I notice a car ahead of me and I slow down, and move into the lane behind him. As he pulls up to the light, and I pass him on the left to make a U-turn underneath the bridge, I give both of them thumbsup, and they both give me a big smile back.
