well dusten seems you know a lot about the subject so you might kno the answer for an e36 coupe...

stupid question by me too really...

to get an lsd of a 323 or a m3 what do i need to take off the car and put it on mine....

well said dusten, thats why a 1.8 lotus ellise can thrash a 4.5 ltr mustang gt, on a track. Its all about cormer speed,thats why i've got a 318 he he he

It won't fit in your car because the rear suspension is different. You need one from an E30 car or Z series.

i want to know what parts i need to take of a model with lsd....

Since all of the cars on here have the e30 style differential most of us are not going to know exactly what parts are needed to do an m3 to is diff swap. If nothing else you'll need to make sure that the driveshaft is the right length and that the bolt pattern to the diff is the same, and the halfshafts have to be the same size... If I had to guess you should easily be able to swap just the diff as I don't see why the driveshaft or halfshaft lengths would change. But that is just a guess..


Has anybody ever looked into the dual differential tab modification that the m-coupe guys are doing? Basically two metal plates that you weld onto the chasis by the differential so that you can use an e36/46 style differential on a car that originally had the 1 tab diff.
