Maybe I'll enter the pic in my avatar?? We'll see. It's a rear passenger side shot. I think I have some of yours when we had the first meet and cruised up to Malibu. __________________ Road to redemption... | | | 10-04-2009, 10:33 PM | #77 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | no dude. You need to enter a crashed pic. I am telling you it would be great for the calendar. It's still a ti. It's still part of the culture. Even after it's hit we can still tell it's a ti. Not all pics have to be perfect pics. If I could I would enter garik pic. It's hard for me to explain where I am going with this but you should really do it. I would. | | | 10-05-2009, 11:36 PM | #78 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Rocky Hill, CT Posts: 1,065 | Just tried to upload my picture twice, and both times it said it went through, but didn't show up in the gallery? I wonder if 2816x2112 is too big for the gallery? Don't know what's up __________________ 1995 318TI base. 95 2.5L from 325IS. S50 cams+pistons, e36 M3 front brakes. H&R race springs F+R. Is the size I listed above too large? I've gotta go study now, but I can easily resize it and post it up. Trying to get this one into the running __________________ 1995 318TI base. 95 2.5L from 325IS. S50 cams+pistons, e36 M3 front brakes. H&R race springs F+R. I see the minimum requirement is a 2400 x 1800 pixel. Now what would be the best format to take the picture on...and submit in case I were to win? 3:2 4000x2672 pixel 8m 3264x2448 pixel 5m 2592x1944 pixel P.S. Steve, thanks for the reply | | | 10-08-2009, 06:05 PM | #86 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | It depends on your camera and the shooting conditions. Some cameras get some distortion and artifacts when shooting at a really high size if the iso value is also somewhat high. In high light, with a good camera, turn the camera up to full resolution. Then you can crop it/downsize as needed. You can probably find guides on taking pictures in particular situations for your particular camera on line. If you want to take the time to mess with custom settings, you can almost always get a better picture with proper custom settings than what most consumer cameras will give you with the auto settings. Since you have a dark car, I would probably avoid night shots unless there is very good ambient lighting. Otherwise your car is going to fade into the dark picture. | | | 10-08-2009, 08:18 PM | #87 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | i don't really mess with the ISO or landscape settings etc. I usually just go with auto. | | | 10-11-2009, 05:46 AM | #88 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Boston, MA Posts: 1,152 | First need a better camera for the requirement size. I better work on this one this year instead of waiting last minute. Hope more people will get in on this calendar. | | | 10-12-2009, 12:33 AM | #89 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Austin Posts: 3,059 | Quote: Originally Posted by HuGo i don't really mess with the ISO or landscape settings etc. I usually just go with auto. | Use night mode. You'd be surprised how much things stand out. Even during the day. __________________ Come get a ti-shirt Quote: From the e30 M3, evolved the e36.
