Question What chips will work on my 97 318ti?

I have been looking around online and i can't find any chips that say they are compatible with my car. Does anyone have a site they can give me that has chips for a 97 318ti? or do other chips work with my car? Thanks.

I'd contact Nick at http://techniquetuning.com/m44na.htm before Dinan.

I'm partial to Hershey Chocolate.

And a chip is probably going to be one of the best poformance gains you will get from the M4X for that ammount of money. Exhausts and intakes just don't do much on these cars.

Tms does have the chips for a 97 but not for a 318, only 6 cylinder model BMW's.

Default Too Much Confusion!!!!!!!!!!

There seems to be alot of interest in these chip modifications. Unfortunately, too many people are throwing out names, without first getting the facts. Since we all own 318ti's between 1995-1999, only list vendors you are ABSOLUTELY SURE make a chip for our cars. Go to the sites of these companies and check it out BEFORE you throw the name out there.

Secondly, the issue of whether it is even worth the money should be considered.
A comparision of all or any companies that DO make one for our cars should be done. Then we can finally get to the bottom of this issue.

Turner's Shark injector is for the 6 cylinder cars.

Dinan does in fact offer several performance upgrades for the 318. http://dinancars.com/Series.asp?Seri...is=11&Model=14
gains: 5 h.p. @ 6000 r.p.m., 4 lb/ft @ 6000 rpm
price: $299

Technique Tuning has ECU software for both NA and supercharged 318's.
h.p. up to 121.6 h.p.? Torque up to 118.3 lb/ft.
(not sure if that's really a gain in h.p. at all...)
price: $249

Eurosport High Performance has chips/shark injectors for the 318
