Default Best way to re-attach rear view mirror!!

The rear view mirrior just fell off yesterday on my ultimate dying machine!
There is a round rubber gasket kind of thing still half attached to the windshield.
Will a repair kit/glue from auto zone work or what is best way to put the mirrior back in place??

TIA
Bob

repair kit should work, is it intended specifically for mirrors?

i just did one on my blazer a few days before getting rid of it. the kit from the parts store was only like 3.50, and yes it works great if you follow the instructions.
