Were the shocks and springs replaced with OEM at one point? Being that you're 18, I'm guessing that you're not the original owner. | | | 09-03-2009, 03:17 AM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: new york Posts: 14 | no im not the original owner, i bought it from some older guy who was a freak about it and never took it out in the winter or rain. he was the original owner, im the 2nd.i bought with 33,000 miles and in october it will be my second year i owned it. i drove it in one winter, and then bought a beater and hasnt seen winter but a few showers since. and they where never replaced. | | | 09-03-2009, 05:45 AM | #4 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by joe22291 no im not the original owner, i bought it from some older guy who was a freak about it and never took it out in the winter or rain. he was the original owner, im the 2nd.i bought with 33,000 miles and in october it will be my second year i owned it. i drove it in one winter, and then bought a beater and hasnt seen winter but a few showers since. and they where never replaced. | Awesome Joe, sounds like you really lucked out when you picked up your ti. I wish mine only had 33k miles when I got it. Anyway, this is a nice upgrade for someone with a base model or perhaps someone trying to refresh their OEM sport suspension on a budget. I'm very happy with the looks of my Bilstein sports/H&R sport combo but I can't really tell a difference in performance from my OEM Sport set up. | | | 09-03-2009, 03:16 PM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: new york Posts: 14 | thanks guys, but i didnt get the bilstein/H&R combo. i got H&R coilovers | | | 09-03-2009, 03:34 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: Charlotte / Thomasville NC Posts: 240 | Quote: Originally Posted by joe22291 thanks guys, but i didnt get the bilstein/H&R combo. i got H&R coilovers | I know. I've been wanting to upgrade to sport suspension. Is it lower than stock though? Cuz i have 16s and i do not enjoy the space left between tire and fender in front... I just wish i had the money ;[ | | | 09-04-2009, 01:30 AM | #9 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2008 Location: new york Posts: 14 | its lower than stock, i think by a 1/2 inch | | | 09-04-2009, 05:37 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2009 Location: Charlotte / Thomasville NC Posts: 240 | It's closer to a full inch lower then stock. I'll try and find my pictures of mine with the stock sport stuff next to my buddy's car with stock active stuff. I'd guess about 1 - 1.5 inches lower then the stock active. I now have H&R sports and had very little drop from the stock sport springs. | | | 09-09-2009, 02:04 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Hawaii Posts: 124 | I am real interested in these, could i get some pics please? | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
