I got to admit I kinda like it! LOL wonder if it would do anything?? I mean its an electric fan, so it pushes some air, right?? LOL | | | 07-20-2007, 02:21 PM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: liverpool, u.k Posts: 3 | lmao what a joke. im sure the force of the negative pressure in the combustion chambers would move alot more air than an 'electric fan'. looks like it would cause more of an obstruction than anything. has anybody ever had a car on a dyno with one of these? | | | 07-20-2007, 02:28 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Ferndale, MD Posts: 462 | LOL, ok, if you look at it, it looks like an indeustrial fan, just sized down to fit in the engine bay. Now, my question is, it has to be 12 volts, right? That would be great if the made you by a power invertor in the engine bay to convert the power to ac to run the fan. | | | 07-20-2007, 02:33 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Seattle, WA Posts: 402 | I've read reviews on these things. Even if it's able to not restrict airflow, the turbulance these create cause negative effects on the air entering the intake and usually reduce engine output. __________________ 1997 332ti - Don't even ask. 2006 330i - ZPP/ZSP/ZCW/6sp/Nav/BT/H&R Sport 2011 E92 M3 | | | 07-20-2007, 02:59 PM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: liverpool, u.k Posts: 3 | LOL im pretty sure its a DC motor | | | 07-20-2007, 03:46 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Downtown Historic Fredericksburg, VA Posts: 339 | i bought one! If so, let us know if you feel any diff. I do remember some show where someone hooked up a leaf blower to the intake of a honda that they had on a dyno. They got like 40HP. But it was ridiculous. . the guy standing on the hood gunning the blower. . | | | 07-20-2007, 07:33 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: G-dale, California Posts: 1,698 | Quote: Originally Posted by zboot BleMW are you serious?
