Talking Should I Save Her?

Hello guys,

It has been a while since I was last on here.Well as some of you may know I had to sell my Ti a couple years ago, I think 6 years ago. Well I'm thinking about coming back to the Ti world. So I was looking around craigslist, when I came across this for sale ad. This poor thing has been abused. There are some good things about her, the low miles for example. From the looks of the pic there is a lot of ricer add ons. I'm thinking that I could probably offer $3000 cash in hand and the seller might go for it. So what do you guys think?

Go check it out if you can. There's no interior pics or engine bay pics. Also keep in mind it's an auto. That might be ok for you, I don't know.

Make sure you go on a test drive and do all the regular checks.

If those are the original miles, it might make me want to go for it. My old Ti was a base model, this one appears to be the active model. So it will be an improvement ha! I did ask the owner if the racing stripes were stickers or were they painted on. If they are stickers than it might be as easy as peeling the mods off. A lot of the other stuff on there seems to have come from ebay and they appear to be stick ons as well. Looks like it is a couple of minutes away from where I live. I might have to go look at it.

It's an auto, which really is not a problem with me. I'm going to run a carfax and I asked for some interior pics. I know the issues that these cars have so I will make sure to look out for them.

Sean you want to checkout a Ti? ha!

If it has only 80K miles and the interior and mechanics are in good shape, get it!!! The cosmetic items (the rice) can be fixed easily, let us know if you do get it!!

That is what I'm thinking, most people are stuck with the issue of the rice mods. This of course will go asap but at the same time helps me out with the negotiation process. It has been up for like a month now, so there is not much interest on it.

It's not often you find any low miles used cars these days, and if you can pick it up for $3K that would be a bargin even for a low miles honda. As for issues with it I'm sure it's going to need a little TLC but what used car doesn't? Just remember 80K is when a lot of maintance is needed on most cars. This is when factory pads start showing wear, the second set of tires start looking shabby, brake fluild starts looking like it could be flushed. On other makes it's when the timing belt most often needs changed and spark pluags and wires and the like. 80K's the number when most people haven't done all that stuff cause it's not quit needing it but is on the edge. Not out anything by looking.

If you go look at it, smack the owner for putting chrome ford focus fender flares on that Ti. Then smack him again for thinking that in the first place!

Was the for sale car in the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith? I thought they were totaled.
