Default Cooling system repair cost?

So like clock work at 134k my cooling system pipe broke.
I could try to do the fix but instead of taking on this big job I took it to my trusted indi, and I have a quote of $495 for the replacement of water pump and the other two pipes.

What do you think of that quote?

not bad. I would suggest repalcing all the hoses and clamps along with the pipes, easier to do while it's all apart anyway.

i got quoted 475 for my waterpump this morning. That was just the pump though im pretty sure, I probably should have had them do everything.

-oh and mine made it to 148K but man at the sound the pump makes!

This would be an excellent time to replace the radiator if the original is still in there.

So the total cost came to $608 including tax. replaced parts,
Thermostat,
Water pump,
All the hoses that take water,
The two infamous plastic parts,
Cleaned intake manifold and injectors,
Labor.
I think I got a good deal.

I had a new radiator in the car about 2 years ago.

its is a pretty simple job. that hardest part is the plastic piece in the back of the engine.
