Default 1 Series Xi??

ok i'm just ranting here, i really wish that BMW would give the 1 series an all wheel drive trans. for people that drive in the snow, not only would it be cool but it would be very practical, or maybe u could put the xi trans from the 3 series into the 1's with the 3's engine

well i'm done ranting

The X1 doesn't look very nice. I think that if BMW would just put an all-wheel drive trans into the 1 series I think that a lot of people living in places where the winters get snow and I think that a lot of people that drive other cars besides they're bimmers that aren't all-wheel drive or buy other cars that are. If you think about it an all-wheel drive 1 series would be awesome and I think they're sells have soared since they were introduced.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't a lot of you drive front wheel drive and all wheel drive cars when winters come, since i'm at school down in southern illinois I don't have to worry about driving my car but when I go home for winter break I always drive my sister's Prius because I put my car up for storage.

Given the fact that I have 1... I would say that a 1xi would be a very very slow seller. The car is really small inside and not super practical. I call it a roadster with a top. That how small it is. But it's a damn nice little car.

The 1 series is already too heavy, adding awd would just make it more so.

Edit - Wow, I just replied to a thread resurrection. I feel dirty.

ah come on, don't be a snob about old threads, us n00bs like to catch up on the board discussions and you'd be the first to complain if we started posting new threads about the same old topics!

besides that brown atrocity is so horrible, I couldn't NOT post.
