yes this advice would prove useful if only I knew what the part was called and or the parts number. In which this thread would be serving that purpose. Unfortunately I have limited knowledge of BMW parts or the origins of this individual parts purpose. Thank you for the help though.

I recommend you get familiarize yourself with realoem.com, or purchase a bentley manual for the E36. Both will be very useful.
