The car hasn't gotten anything but regular maintenance attention for a while either. I was originally going to do a M50 swap on this car but never got around to doing the swap. I'm just trying to feel out the price I should ask on the car, or maybe there is a ti lover here looking for a relatively low mileage OBD 1 car, or motor swap parts. My wife is pushing me to sale since I haven't worked on it in so long, and I barely drive it. I guess we'll be buying a Prius (after the 4 month wait list). Anyways, I have a 95 base ti with 108,500 miles on it. Here are the modifications I have made over the years. Koni Sport Adjustable shocks H&R Race Springs BMW X-brace Racing Dynamics M Coupe sway bars Korman offset control arm bushings Bavarian Autosport drilled rotors and Pagid pads Korman stainless brake lines Milli Miglia 17" wheels and Continetal rubber Bavarian Autosport chip MOMO shift know and pedals Alpine CD player, Sony peakers The car is in decent enough shape, but I wouldn't call it excellent. The body is in good shape, just a couple small dings. The windshield has a large crack. The headliner has fallen down. The seats don't look great (stained) and the driver side has a small tear. I recently had the driver's side window fixed (infamous ti thing you all know about), but I think it now needs a new relay because the window only goes up two inches per push. I think that's all the bad stuff. I plan on getting the windshield fixed prior to sale, but there aren't any interior shops locally that I'm aware of to fix the headliner. I was thinking of $3500 as a starting point, with room to negotiate. Motor Swap Parts: I have had these parts for a while, and never got around to installing them: 1994 M50 motor with all accessories (wiring harness, computer, PS, AC...) with 90,000 miles including a stock flywheel. New Sachs clutch kit. New radiator. 1997 M3 exhaust: headers to muffler. Guage cluster for 325. Motor was last run about 3 years ago. Parts could be sold together or individually. Thanks for the guidance or interest. Oh yeah, I made her promise I could have a 135 after the Prius is paid off! | | | 06-05-2008, 04:44 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | Is that $3500 for just the car or the car with all the swap parts? Either way someone should jump on this, this is an absolute steal. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 06-05-2008, 04:49 AM | #3 | Member Join Date: Nov 2003 Location: Asheville, NC Posts: 59 | It was $3500 for the car alone. Kelly Blue Book said $3300 for good condition. I figured the suspension parts made up for the headliner and dings plus a little. I was trying to get a feel for price on parts. I paid alot years ago, but don't expect to get much now. | | | 06-05-2008, 04:52 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | Yeah, still an amazing deal considering the parts list, mileage and that it looks to be in pretty good condition. Where were you three years ago? __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 06-05-2008, 06:06 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | he was getting married and making his first kid. lol. but dude. the car looks nice. like the gray and black combo. and just wow on those low miles.... whoever gets it should take it all off your hands. you almost practically have everything needed to do a swap. well good luck on the sale. hope a enthus gets it. __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit! I also wanted to try to sale all parts as a kit if possible. If I don't get any offers on the motor swap kit soon, I'll consider parting it all out. The Koni's and springs are installed on the car, and I don't have the factory stuff any more, so they'll be going with the car. I've enabled PM, so feel free to PM me now. I also can transport parts with my truck within a reasonable distance. | | | 06-05-2008, 04:42 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | how much are you looking to get for the whole motor? __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 06-05-2008, 11:50 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | that's a steal, I wish I had the money | | | 06-06-2008, 02:44 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | oh also do you have the key/chip for the motor (from the donor car) __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 06-07-2008, 07:58 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Austin Posts: 3,059 | How much for rims, and tires altogether? | | | 06-07-2008, 08:27 AM | #15 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | This may or may not work, but it's simple and worth a shot none the less. Try rolling your window down and then back up. Once it's completely rolled up, hold the switch in the up position for like 30 seconds. If that fixes your problem, then sell me your cats for cheap, lol. __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
