CLUTCH. Hi all, new to the site. I've had my ti since it was new in '95. I'm in need of an A/C Compressor, or what the dealer told me was the Magnetic Clutch for the A/C Compressor. I'm guessing a Compressor is probably just easier to come by. Anyway, I'm trying to save a few bucks and thought I might try this site out to see if I get any bites. I'm of course willing to make a fair offer or negotiate. If there's anyone out there with parts to spare please reply! Thanks. | | | 09-25-2008, 01:07 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | welcome, not to many ti's still owned by their original owners, how many miles are on it? got any pics? I'd search for "part out" or something similar, IIRC, there's a 99 being parted in Austin right now, not sure if he still has the A/C compressor or if it will work with your engine though | | | 09-25-2008, 04:20 AM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: San Diego, CA Posts: 4 | Thx for the welcome. It's got 221,773 miles on it and still going strong. I'll have to dig up some pics. Technically I'm not the original owner as I bought it used from the original owner in '96 right out of bootcamp. Flush with cash in those days. lol. Anyway, I'll check out that post you spoke of. I saw that, but I'm not too familiar with the different ti engines. Mine is an M42? From what I've read '96 and up are M44? Anyone know if these use the same A/C/ compressor? | | | 09-25-2008, 03:18 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by tasimm Mine is an M42? It was mounted to an M44. I am in NY. Shipping may be a little steep. Let me know if you still need one. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
