I just wanted share that I scored some killer surf with some friends this weekend! In rodeisland!  __________________

I've swam in Newport before. Even in the warmer months, that water is freezing. I can't imagine how cold it must've been with the colder-than-average temps we've been having lately.

Water is about 50 and well the surf was 8-12ft. Our wetsuits will keep us warm in the winter.

Probably part of the same system that hit down here in Florida two weeks ago... Some spots were calling double over head on the wednesday the storm came in. A few of my buddies made it out that day. All I have to ay after going to Hawaii not one wave in New England will ever compare to a wave out there. My bro is like you got to watch yourself out here and never turn your back on a wave. I kind of learned that the hard way when one pumbled me into the ground and I tried to stand up and it sucked me right back down again.
What part of RI did you surf in? A lot of people by my house do the kite surfing when the wind is kicking around. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active

I was surfing newport, aka Ruggles... there was a contest that day, so everyone was over there. That left all of the spots wide open. We were getting our ass handed to us on the sets. Some great rides and some beat downs. The beat downs are a part of surfing! __________________
