Default will not start

I have a 1995 318ti. The car has been meticulously maintained.

Today I got in to go to the store and the car started as usual but the fuel indicator was pegged on empty and the BMW clock computer was blank. The car drove normal to the store.

I then shut it off and tried to start again. No start. Same fuel gauge indication and BMW computer. All other electrical work fine.

Sounds electrical. Charge the battery or go have it tested.

Default electrical

Battery is good, starter is good.

Won't bump(push) start. From previous threads it sounds like it has been disabled some how.

I need a price guide for ECU (ECM)

... check your fuses. Once in a blue moon, I pop a brake light fuse which disables the starter. I think it's a 15 amper... check there before going crazy...

^ +1 Happend to me once.. Blew a fuse while driving and lost fuel guage, tach and some lights. I was able to drive just fine for a while.

Came back out from the store and wouldn't start. Changed the fuse, and its never been an issue since.

I had the car towed to BMW dealer. They are saying it need a new computer. Easily $400 to $500 on that.
Anyone want to buy a 95 ti excellent maintenance records...needs new computer.

Thats the last place I would have had it towed. Where you able to check the fuses while it was at the dealer???
