Default BBS RF Design 5000

So I got these wheels about a month ago and just finished taking them apart a few days ago. I took the barrels and centers to a local shop to get a powder coating quote.

What he said insulted me... $250 per wheel, just to powder the barrels black and the faces white!!! I told him to eat a .....(actually, just thought about saying it)lol

I never had a quote for powder coating but that seemed outrageous. $1000 to powder coat hahaha

So today I went to another shop thats on my way home from work. This guy seemed legit. We had a nice long conversation and he explained what he's going to do for me. He said he would sand and blast out all the imperfections on the centers and barrels. He's going to basically refinish (not just powder coat) the wheels. He saw my one lip that I had just buffed out yesterday and said it was nice but that he has a machine that will make it bling. He also noticed a few nicks on the lip and said he would smooth it out. His quote $125 per wheel. So I jumped on it. I'm taking the other three wheels tomorrow and he said it may take up to three weeks.

The only thing he isn't going to do is the center caps because they are plastic. He told me to scoff and sand them and spray them white. I'm a little concerned on how that will turn out. Will the whites match???

Another thing I gotta do is the bolts. Not sure what to do there. I was thinking black bolts, or should I got with gold???

White with blue blots.....I don't like the blue, maybe in person I would feel different.

White and gold would look awesome on your car. Get some red BBS caps for the center, "prima donna" is what Jesse called it I think, except a RF instead of the RS.

Im a sucker for gold with a polished lip on black cars. Everytime I see white with a polished lip its on a Civic or Neon and just seems outdated. Gold & polish FTW.

I love the gold and polished look as well, but the white will look great! that much for powder is nuts. i just got 4 brand new wheels acid dipped and coated a custom gold with gold flake, inside and outside of the rims for 440 with the tires mounted. Time to look for a new powder guy!

That's what I'm going for. Except for the center cap. I want a black logo with white or silver/polished bbs lettering.

I know its not everyone's taste, and I'm not 100% myself, but I do think they look FRESH!!

Obviously, I have some work to do yet. Need to get my bolts finished. Need some new BBS center caps. Need to get the hex nut mounted. What do you guys recommend to use for the sealant?

Nice! Those do look good. I don't know why you couldn't just use some silicone sealant
