Hi All, I've been surfing the forums for a while after I bought my ti and decided it was high time I joined.. My ride is a 95 base model(?) 318ti with an optional sunroof. There are no real mods to speak of with the exception of the rims ,kit and some color coding.. It's more of a cruiser than a racer (My other previous rides were a skyline, 180 and a civic SIR).. I know it needs lowering and that's next on my list, got the bilstein springs patiently waiting for the struts to join them as soon as summer comes along... Well hope you like it and props for the great site and posts.. the info here has helped me out on a few occasions and there are some nice ti's driving around.. Cheers Senz... | | | 01-28-2006, 03:08 PM | #2 | aka Stabby Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Mead, CO Posts: 5,336 | welcome! looks like a nice ride. what front bumper is that (unfortunately, the garage profile isn't long enough for a good size list of mods)? __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles current mods: bilstein sports, bavauto springs, e30 m3 LCABs, solid metal ball joints, bavauto RSMs w/reinforcements, e30 3.73 LSD & halfshafts, supersprint cat-back exhaust, turner rear sway bar reinforcements, IE poly subframe & RTABs + camber/toe kits, powdercoated e36 32x front calipers, sport mirrors, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, auto solutions SSK w/poly bushing upgrade, BMW CD43 head unit, DICE HD Radio w/iPod integration and "stealth" HD antenna, staggered style 68s, orange electronic TPMS, leather arm rest, JT Designs metal undertray acquired and awaiting install: heated seat kit, cali top switch relo, lumbar support kit, park distance control kit, heated washer nozzle kit, m-coupe rear subframe, trailing arms, differential, and halfshafts, m-coupe front/rear brakes with master cylinder, under hood light kit, mud flaps, rear sun blind, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tilt steering wheel retrofit, apexcone 5000K HIDs with 55W ballasts 2002 X5 4.4 Sport Package, 53.5k miles Current Mods: e46 m3 steering wheel | | | 01-28-2006, 03:13 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | hey whats up. But i love the front bumper, its nice. | | | 01-28-2006, 03:43 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: PA Posts: 1,906 | hola, i have a 96 base model also. your car looks nice. i like the rims. the front is different and i like it too. what is color coding? i noticed the skirts and front are a diiferent shade of silver. is it really like that or is it just the way the pic came out? edit...WELCOME __________________ | | | 01-28-2006, 03:49 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Great White North! I thiiiink the bumper is from Glaube http://glaube-jpn.com/ .. I bought it on yahoo auctions in Japan and that's the closest match to it that I've seen.. although mine has round spotlights in it..so it may be a customized one. The color coding was from the previous owner, I think because this is a 95 model it didn't come with painted side mirrors and under the kit the factory sideskirt looking metalwork has been painted as well as the rear hatch handle area.. The purple rainguard is kinda sucky, but I'm a little worried that if I pull it off some of the paint will come too.. Well spotted, the kit is a slightly different silver.. I had it painted as before it was a weird custom metallic grey aqua..I'll post up some more pics and a little story soon... | | | 01-29-2006, 12:28 PM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Taiwan Posts: 26 | Welcome __________________ 1995 318ti, 220K Km, CHASSIS: A&Z Hi-lo Kit with 6-way adjustable & camber adjustment, Wiechers front strut brace, Monkey rear strut brace, E46 330 front calipers & OZ 325mm disc, H&R 28mmF/19mmR sway bars, x-brace, AC 3-piece type Ⅰ 17" 8J. I have since sold that car and moved away from Japan. cooljess, chill dude.. The rims were entirely too big for the car, they were 17inch works rezax and I think they were for a 5 series as the offset was way off.(I got them for $150 with 4 tyres on yahoo auctions) I had to stretch 215's over the rear rims to fit them under the guards without rubbing the wheelarches over bumps..and I was pulled up, fined and ordered to change the fronts as they were sticking out around 1 cm from the guards. Even after I changed the fronts to a similar look mesh bbs rsII with a little dish the car got attention and on the next time I was pulled over I pretended that I couldn't speak much Japanese and argued until they let me off with a warning. It was a sweet ride and I had a lot of fun in it.. the works rezax look hot if you can get the newer series ones.. they should also have them in an offset that'll suit a 3 series..don't be stupid like I was and fit the wrong rims, way more hassle than it's worth.. cheers. | | | 07-15-2007, 11:40 AM | #12 | Junior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: Melbourne Posts: 19 | rims from yahoo japan? a nice rims, if put over flander will look cool......... where u moved to?
