Hopefully that alternator will last for a while. Yeah that long upper alternator bolt can be a pain in the butt to line up sometimes. Bimmerfun, I wouldn't feel bad if I were you. You may have paid a little more for your headlights, but you should've got a quality product. Like I said before, DDM's slow shipping and poor customer service isn't worth the money you would've saved anyway. And James is absolutely right about those clips. Be very gentle with them, especially the ones on the corner lights themselves. The tabs on the headlight are pretty fragile but it's even easier to snap the clip off of the corner light. Although I've never broken one, I know several people who have and it's a pain in the rear to get them to stay attached if the tabs or clips break off. Post pics after your install, the euro elipsoids really spruce up the front end. | | | 11-14-2010, 07:42 AM | #812 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Auburn, WA Posts: 1,814 | got my car ready for my track day (time attack) tomorrow. remove some more weight, remove the sunroof motor, change the brake fluid, check all the fluids, check suspension, tire pressure, re-installed front strees bar, and made a stand for my LM-2 so is not flying around __________________ 5/96 318TI Sport BIG TURBO | | | 11-14-2010, 09:07 PM | #813 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: aNYthing Posts: 160 | finally installed my angel eyes.. ddm finally got me.. sent me the wrong kidneys and my hi beam fuse blew after jumping for joy.. i ordered clear sides quickly threw them back when i installed them so i wasted about 60.. hid fogs coming later this week.. btw.. the screw closest to the grills can kiss my ass. to.. __________________ for sale ~ '95 helrot.. With help from a buddy I installed new/used cats on my E46 (the old ones were clogged) and installed the trim and test fitted the ZHP front bumper. __________________ SUPPORT 318ti.org! Cleaned rims and were suprised they actually were silver. I wish I could post pics to show the difference | | | 11-16-2010, 03:03 PM | #818 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | did major damage to mine. Obeying the law, I got a phone call so I pulled over (I had to write anyway, it was work related) as I pulled off of the highway, I had exactly half a second to realise that the shoulder was almost half foot lower than the road due to construction (they never brought the original shoulder back up to road level) and ripped the pipe that goes into the catalyst right out of it.. leaving most of the exhaust hanging and dragging. After unclipping the o2 sensor and cutting the hangers, I got the remains of the exhaust into the car and finished the last 100 miles of my trip with no exhaust system. I will note that Wide open throttle at Redline will induce nausea from the sound and pressure.. but cruising carefully was barely tolerable. At least the cop who pulled me over for having a loud car was sympathetic | | | 11-16-2010, 11:54 PM | #819 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Miami, Florida Posts: 483 | I hate it when you want to do something good and something bad happens. Hope you get fixed up and drifty again. __________________ | | | 11-17-2010, 12:12 AM | #820 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: Central Florida Posts: 678 | Haven't done much to my car or been on the boards in a while... but I just installed LED's on the Angel Eyes from my DEPO P-36 headlights... I was wondering how I could change the bulbs... so I opened them up and saw that the bulbs could be easily replaced (they're the 5W5 type)... So I went looking for them on SuperBrightLEDS.com and found them... for about $2 each... then went looking on Fleabay... and bought all 12 for about $10 from a Chinese vendor... Looks better now, to at least!...
