The pump that came out was the OEM with Stainless Steel impeller (sheet that was cut, formed, and welded). I've seen plenty of water pumps, and this OEM unit was a work of art. Replaced with a POS Graff unit made with cast impeller. I had to dremel out flashing. Tensioner will serve its purpose, but the aftermarket unit (can't remember brand) uses a torx50 bolt to hold pulley. The torx indent is very shallow and near impossible to grip while relieving tension and swap belts. Stupid design. | | | 10-05-2010, 09:30 PM | #677 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Well this past weekend. If only it was as simple as replacing the tail lights. I know Bangle's designs were controversial but whoever signed off the e46/5 must have been still drunk from Oktoberfest or something. have PM'd you about the eyes, mine need an upgrade oh, and back on topic, last week I took out the stock radio/cassette and put in an Alpine head unit with iPod/iPhone connection in the glovebox (also handy since I use the iPhone for satnav at the same time as playing music), next week or the week after, the front component speakers are gonna be swapped out for some new ones (also probably Alpine) then after that I'll look at either a sub or some 2-ways in the back. tomorrow am changing the wiper blades Last edited by vsonix; 10-15-2010 at 01:26 AM. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
