Put 250 miles on the Ti driving up and back to Maine to acquire a very nice set of "bottlecaps" for the snow tires! The seller is a mechanic at Bill Dodge BMW in Westbrook, and mounted and balanced as part of the deal. Should look awesome next winter on the Compact.

If it was here in England, I'd just assume you had a 316i and wanted everyone to think it was a 318ti, hehe

but personally I think the font used for the model numbers is pretty classic and I would probably want to leave it.

I run bottle caps on clear coated silver oem steel wheels all year round. They remind me of the American muscle cars of the sixties and seventies that sported, "dog dish" hub caps. Way cool, in my opinion! By the way, the bottle caps can still be ordered through a dealership.

These are what most BMW guys commonly refer to as bottlecaps. Note how the center of the wheel has a striking resemblance to a bottle cap

Yes, Jess,
I bought the E36 15" 5-bolt version of exactly what your photo shows. They have a very slight gold-tone to the finish. Came off of a 1994 318is and were either refinished at some point or very well cared for.

I replaced the bulb that lights up the HVAC controls, put in a new HVAC/Stereo panel and finally replaced the factory radio with a new Kenwood KDC X895. My first attempt at installing a radio, which was a breeze thanks to the wiring harness which came with the head unit from Crutchfield's.

reinstalled the DME and battery, and fired it up.

Looked at the repo in Kentucky. Bad repaint, interior completely trashed. Rust free though. Non running and they are expecting to get something like 5 grand. LMAO.
