Then it kinda started blowing less cold and it just stopped blowing any cold. I hoped it would be freon, but I am scared it's more. I think the compressor might be gone. I took a quick look and there was no leaks that I could see. My dad took a second look and we are pretty sure it's the compressor. PLEASE tell me it's not and it's a little problem that could be fixed. Then again just hoping. If it's compressor, it's a big job right? I am so unlucky!!! | | | 10-08-2009, 04:20 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | you could have a shop with an AC machine look at it, they can fill the system with vacuum to check for leaks | | | 10-08-2009, 05:39 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2008 Location: Florida Posts: 229 | So it's possible that the compressor is ok? How do I check if it's working?? | | | 10-08-2009, 06:25 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | run the engine with the AC on, the center of the pulley should start and stop if it's working | | | 10-08-2009, 07:29 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: DoWNeY, CALiFORNiA Posts: 141 | I remember that happened to me one time. It was the fuse, it keep burning out. Why don't you check it first. If all is good, then it could be the compressor. Now, you have to change the fuse out and it happens again, unplug the sensor to the window washer, plug in the new fuse for the a/c and start up the car. Turn on your a/c, if it blows cold plug the sensor back in for the window washer and you should be back in business. Don't ask me how or why it worked, but I looked up this problem once on a DIY page. You may have a short somewhere. The only thing that sounds different is the fact that you stated it was blowing less and less cold until it was gone. I really hope this helps. __________________ Road to redemption... | | | 10-08-2009, 02:54 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2008 Location: Florida Posts: 229 | Oh yes. That cheers me up a little. I'll check it out. I think it was just an illusion that it was going less and less because i thought it would be the freon at first. but thanks a lot i'll check it. And the window washer sensor is on the hood? | | | 10-10-2009, 01:47 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: The Netherlands Posts: 188 | Let the AC shop checks the AC system pressure. | | | 10-11-2009, 12:17 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2008 Location: Florida Posts: 229 | Thanks to everyone. I've got a non-functioning A/C on a ti I just bought. | | | 11-10-2009, 05:11 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2008 Location: Florida Posts: 229 | I ended up getting my car stuck in front of my house until I sell my dads. The front(a/c) radiator is cracked. The car was backed into the front and it was a little damaged but it just needed time to begin letting liquid out. That needs to be changed on mine. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
