Rear Caliper Upgrade A little info on my setup: Car is a e30 converted 5 lug using rear ti Ta's e36m front brakes 25.4mm MC 318ti rear brakes Have been doing some research on upgrading my calipers as the bias is off according to how they come from the factory and what others have said about the setup. After searching on here and other places it seems that most run a more aggresive pad to overcompensate the bias. With the e36m brakes having a 60mm piston and the ti 34mm (I think), a 40mm piston caliper would or should even it back out at least according to stock specs. I know there are some 5 series clipers out there with this piston size and Lee from Massive suggested using an e34 oe some 5 series(maybe he wasn't sure) caliper to compensate the bigger e36m front brakes. Anyhow, any of you heard of doing this? Can you point me in the right direction if so? I have tried searching and it took forever just to find out what the rear piston caliper size was. I came up with 34mm based of some websites that were not in english. That would be a 18% reduction in piston size over the stock setup and I would imagine very noticable. TIA Sam |
