Exclamation Drifting/Hand-Braking questions!

hey guys im new here i have a 95 318 ti, now im originally a honda guy not used to rwd. i did my first little drift/slide today but i have questions, lets say im in 2nd gear roughly 2500 rpm and im in a parking lot (safely) and im going into (lets say its a corner but its just turning in the parkinglot) the corner and i rip the hand-brake then drop it real fast to get the slide, then gas it. will this f*ck anything up in the car/differental? also what happens in the differental when i pull the hand-brake? sorry if that all sounded retarted im not good at explaning. thanks for the help guys.
