I made a 4 inch hole in my air box and ran some ducting into my fog light hole. Am I missing anything? | | | 06-23-2008, 09:48 AM | #2 | Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Munich/Bavaria Posts: 91 | Dude, are you sure it is a spot where cold air has a chance to come thru? | | | 07-02-2008, 02:23 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Richmond Hill, GA Posts: 1,231 | I would have mounted it behind the grill to minimize the chance of water being sucked in. | | | 07-02-2008, 05:32 AM | #4 | Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Munich/Bavaria Posts: 91 | Angel, we had that discussion cc. water - close to impossible it will happen; you'd have to run full throttle on high rev thru a very deep water.... no chance it'll happen /w rain and such. With your grill: remember there is the radiator that is quite warm, plus (in my car, dunno what it is exactly) i have some "coolant lanes"/whatever pipes that go into a curvy figure in fron of the radiator and behind the kidneys - can see it from the outside looking in. Maybe this is something hot too - as it is right there where it would be cooled So the grill's not a good area in my eyes. Try the lower fender side, trust the guys here! | | | 07-02-2008, 06:09 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Memphis, Tn Posts: 1,299 | Quote: Originally Posted by NeoP Angel, , trust the guys here! | angel is a guy __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 07-05-2008, 04:46 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Richmond Hill, GA Posts: 1,231 | Quote: Originally Posted by NeoP Angel, we had that discussion cc. water - close to impossible it will happen; you'd have to run full throttle on high rev thru a very deep water.... no chance it'll happen /w rain and such.
