Default oil filter housing leak

hey, just replace the belt, tensioner and idler pulley when i spotted the leak. from what i can see, it is leaking between the block and the housing. looks like i have to remove the alternator, but not too sure. anyone with experience in this? also, anyone has the part number for the seal? oh, if it makes a difference, it's a 95 m42, thanks

11 42 1 709 800 for the seal. Make sure before you go on this d!ck mission that it is not anything else (like a faulty O ring on the oil filter cover.) Clean everything with brake cleaner (non-flammable is preferrable) and run the motor and search for the leak.

lol, thanks dude, it's done. had to remove the belts, the alternator, the alternator/power steering pump bracket, and than the actual oil filter housing. it wasn't leaking from the gasket itself, but from the round valve that actually lets the oil past from the block to the housing. this round piece had two o-ring on it. so i end up replacing the two o-ring and the gasket, total cost $6.50. lol, a couple hours of work, but very satisfying when the job was done, and no more oil leak. yeah baby!!!!!!
