A little help here. My daughters 95ti was not getting any heat to the cabin so I had the thermostat checked and changed. The heat worked fine after that. Now I notice that when starting the car and letting it warm up, I get no heat through the blowers even after the car has gotten up to operatiing temperature. I have found out though that if I rev the engine to around 2000 rpms, the heat comes out but when I let up and drop back to idle it just blows cold air. While driving the car, you get heat,,but then at idle,,cold air. Any ideas? Thanks,, Freezing in Northern NY. | | | 02-27-2005, 06:59 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Michigan Posts: 169 | Hey freg57 Might be a air pocket in cooling system mine did the same thing,(have to burp it) Had my machanic repressurize the cooling system to get all air out of system worked for me,lots of heat and then some now. Posts: 3,156 | Sounds like air to me too. If the valve was bad, it would be poor heat all the time. When the engine revs, the fluid is 'splashed' enough to heat up the heater core. Burping it should do the trick. Check out the Haynes manual at Borders for the procedure (but don't buy the worthless manual unless you have to). | | | 02-27-2005, 09:17 PM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Plattsburgh, NY Posts: 11 | Beautiful guys,,,Thanks for the info.
