Default Will 15" steel wheels fit my club sport?

Will 15" steel wheels fit around the brake assembly in my club sport? I am looking for a set of winter tires/wheels.

Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I picked up some 15" steel wheels with 195/65r15 snow tires. They fit great. I can't believe how much smoother the car rides with those tires. It tempts me to put on 15" alloys with nice all season tires for daily driving. I currently have the stock club sport 16" wheels with Ealge F1 DS-G3s and they are a little on the firm side for daily driving.

FYI, the factory 5 spoke rounds (which is what it looks like you have) weigh less than steelies.

I'll trade you my 15" round spokes with Blizzaks for your 16's. All in very good condition, very limited curb rash but the Blizzaks have maybe one good season left. Let me know if you're interested and I'll look into shipping.

No, I still want my summer tires I just put them back on today, man the ride degraded. It is choppy, tramlines (follows pavement grooves), and is generally uncomfortable. Handling is better, but the snow tires handled good enough for any street driving I do. I like the look of the 16" wheels, but I don't like the comfort factor. I imagine 17"s would be even worse.

The tire itself has a lot to do with the ride (IE different brands of the same size tire can behave very differently); however I do agree that the ride will be more harsh with less sidewall 'cushion'...

I have 17's and I'm quite happy with them (even on New England/New York roads)...

You mentioned that the snow tires are 195s. I'm assuming your summers are 225/50. That will account for a lot of the tramlining. The tread pattern also makes a difference. You could always run a 215/55 on your 16" rims. You won't really miss the extra rubber, but it will cut down the tramlining and help your gas mileage a little.

I really don't mind the tramlining and bouncy ride, it just surprises me how much more noticeable it is. I thought I might not have torqued the lug nuts on one of the wheels or installed my brakes wrong it was wondering so much. Then I just remembered it was the tires Yes, my summer tires are 225/50s and they are Good Year Eagle F1 GS-D3s.

I still need to fix my tire pressures, I rotated them front and back. And originally I had 26 psi front and 32 back (or so, whatever book recommends) and now they are 32 front and 26 back, so I have a little more oversteer, which I am sure is amplifying the tramline effect and making the car feel more squirly.

We have a Mazda3 with 17" wheels and it rides fairly smooth and doesn't tramline much. It also has narrower tires (205) that don't feel quite as stiff. My only complaint with that is it makes for expensive tires on an "economy" car.
