Default WTB: Pair of M-Tech front springs

Jacked up the car as I was pulling the head, heard two clunks, and saw two pieces of my right front spring sitting on the barn floor.

I already replaced the rear springs, which were each in several pieces, several years ago, so now I guess it's the fronts' turn.

I'm not looking to lower the car at all - it's too damned low already - so I'm just looking for stock or stock-type M-Tech springs.

I'd consider buying a pair of rears as well, to have as spares.

Thanks,

- Eric

Hi John.

Yes I am interested, but with a single post, and two similar but different names in your handle and your e-mail, how do I know you're not a scammer?

Please post a photo of what you've got, and we can talk.

Thanks,

- Eric

I will be removing my Mtech springs to replace with H&Rs in the next couple weeks. Attaching a photo of the markings, curious if yours are the same. I only know that these are Mtech because the previous owner said they were.

Hi Elan,

I can't really say, as there are no discernable markings left on my springs.

Nothing but rust.

I had them on my first ti, which I drove from 60,000 miles through about 245,000, when I wrecked it and transferred the M-Tech suspension into my next ti, which I then drove for another 30 or 40,000 miles before blowing the head gasket about a year and a half ago, so they don't look as pretty as yours.

The rear springs I replaced my old ones with when I swapped the suspension, which were also from California, did also have brushed paint markings like yours, though, so the best I can say is that my rear springs seem to look like your fronts.

I'd be happy to buy them when they're available (for a reasonable price, of course).
It'll be a little while before my car is ready to drive.

Thanks,

- Eric

You drive a lot! Kudos to you...

Attaching a photo of the stance to make sure it's what you're looking for. I have Koni yellows on too. Once my new springs get installed, I can message you here or email you. I can even use the box that the H&Rs came in...

Yup, that looks right.

Yeah one or the other of these cars was my commuting car for over ten years.

Mine are on Bilsteins that are spec'ed for the M-Tech springs, which used to be yellow.

And they shouldn't need a big box because they can be interlaced (in case the HRs were packed individually). They don't have to be wrapped to stay pretty.

Just use the "Send E-Mail" button and I should get it.

Thanks,

- Eric

ps: Here's a picture of my first one, best I seem to have that shows it from the side:
(the bottlecap rims are for my snow tires).
