Default '99 318ti with Alpine cassette deck - how do I enter the unlock code?

Hi folks

Proud owner of a 1999 318ti with original FM radio/cassette deck - the one in this picture:

(This is an image I found on the internet, not a picture I took of my own car, but it's the same unit.)

I've just got it back from having the computer replaced and the unit is clearly waiting for the unlock code - the display is blank, with a small "1" in the top right corner.

There's a post-it note stuck to the inside cover of the radio manual with the serial number and a 6-digit unlock code, but no instructions of how to enter the code. I can't work out for the life of me how to do it. The manual refers to a card that should be stored separately as containing the code-entry instructions, but I don't have that, and didn't think to ask the previous owner for it when I bought it.

I'll assume for now that the code on the post-it is correct - can anyone tell me how I actually enter it?

Thanks all...

Thanks but it looks like that's just a site that sells unlock codes.

To be clear, I have a code, I just need to know how to enter it!

(And in any case, none of their BMW options are the unit installed in my vehicle.)

To Enter the code number

When you switch on the unit after connecting it to the vehicle power supply, the following message appears in the display panel.

CODE -----

Use the station keys (1-6) to enter the five-digits code in the correct sequence.
For example: if the first digit in the code is 4, then you start by pressing the key station for 4.

The unit is ready for operation as soon as you finish entering the fifth digit in the code. It automatically switches to the radio mode or if a cassette is inserted in the slot, to the cassette mode.

NOTE:

If wrong code is entered twice in succession, the unit responds by flashing CODE in the display. That indicates that only one more attempt will be allowed.

After three incorrect entries, WAIT appears in the display.

One hour must now elapse before any further attempts to enter the code can be made. The unit should not be switched off during this period.

Disconnecting the unit from the power supply during this period will start the delay period.
