Default E36 M42 Vs. E30 M42

Im starting this thread because I am new to the e36/ti. I understand e30's had the m42 engine in them as well. The intake manifold is different on the e36 m42. Is that the only difference??

What Im trying to do is upgrade to the 4 pintle bosch fuel injectors for a smoother ride. Many people have done this to their e30 m42's. I am wondering if it is ok to do this on the m42 in the ti.

The M42 in the e30 is the same in an e36, the changes are the same.

I don't think the E30 M42 has the same type of vacuum system on the injectors that the E36 M42 has.

Not sure if that helps your question, but there are other differences than just the intake.

RealOEM.com shows all E36 M42 (with builds starting in January 1994) and M44 engines using the same fuel injector part number. Are these four pintles the four little spray holes on the injector tip? If so, the M44 has them and therefore your E36 M42 has them too.

So I bought fuel injectors before realizing that our injectors have this vacuum system attached to them. Was al ittle pissed but just returned the ones I bought and sent my originals to Witchhunter Performance to get them cleaned and flow tested. Kinda funky never seen injectors like that...but rather cool.
