I suppose the MX5 would be a momentum car like the ti...hmm. Thanks Steven, now I want to spend more money. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 10-26-2014, 03:49 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | The MX5 handles just like my ti. In fact, I'm turning similar times. I've been driving SPR then later I get back on the track and it seemed like pit out was different. Then I realized it was the Jeff in reverse. I've been practicing in the MX5 Cup. Not ready to race. I'm still a couple seconds behind everyone but am getting used to being passed in corners. In practice you can tell people to pass on left or right. Still learning. It's very addicting. It's as close to the track as you can get without leaving your house. And the weather is always perfect. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 01-16-2015, 04:32 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | So I finally rebuilt my computer and just got iRacing tonight. It's downloading all the updates now. I'll probably just test for a while and get used to it. I don't have a wheel yet, just a wired xbox controller. I'll see how that does but I'm sure a wheel would be better. Been looking at the Fanatec CSR and Elite pedals. Any pointers? __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 01-16-2015, 06:35 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2013 Location: NJ Posts: 373 | I wish I had time to play iRacing. Still have 30 credits to go towards a few months or racing, but school and work always get in the way. You will need a wheel. Any higher end Thrustmaster, Logitech or Fanatec wheel will be fine for the game. Plenty of reviews on the differences of each wheel. I have an old Logitech G25 which I still use for my occasional racing on Live For Speed. __________________ 2000 M5 -> 1996 318ti -> 1997 328i Instagram: ndrewchow YouTube: MINIzguy | | | 01-16-2015, 03:59 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | I was surprised, the controller was better than I expected. I've only done summit but it is very accurate how the car behaves and the bumps/dips in the track. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 01-16-2015, 08:31 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | I'm at Summit every night. I had it repainted in John Deere green. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 01-17-2015, 02:23 AM | #8 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | Having a BMW CCA graphic on a MAZDA is just kinda weird.
