None of the tools came with the car and I thought it was just an allen wrench that fit into the crank in the back but I couldn't find one that would catch. I guess it's off to the dealership this weekend. __________________ 1998 323Ti | | | 03-31-2006, 05:03 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: boston Posts: 142 | I am going to do that saturday... __________________ HIOP TWINSCREW w/aftercooler water to air, 3.73 lsd, ported headdone, performence valve springs w/titanium retainersinstalled..nitrous kitinstalled fun fun X brace installed5th injector w/ piggyback controler, high flow cat | | | 03-31-2006, 05:13 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Tyler, TX Posts: 1,022 | I've been thinking about putting my battery in the back, except in that pocket on the right (circled in red) | | | 03-31-2006, 05:24 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2003 Location: Walnut Creek, CA Posts: 642 | GDB, You mean like this? __________________ '95 330ti CS w/sr delete, S50USB30, cams, 24# inj, Conforti SW, Euro HFM, Samco Silicone Intake Boot, BBTB, Euro Oil Cooler, JTD CAI Duct, RE DMS exhaust, RE Tranny mounts, CF Valve Cover, LTW flywheel/Kevlar sprung hub clutch, RE SSK, 3.46 Finned LSD (M6) , M3 tranny, Brembos, RE Wheel Studs, SS brake/clutch lines, CF interior, Rear Headrest retrofit, Tilt Steering retrofit, 13.5 lb DynaBatt in rear, LED interior/footwell lights, ZKW HID, Headlight Aim Control, Rear fog light w/cluster indicator, CF 3 Aux gauge pod, BMW Traffic Pro/Alpine MP3-CD Changer, Staggered LTW wheels, '95 M3 steering rack, VIS CF Hood, M3 LTW Strut Bar, TCK SA coilovers, Red LTW Motorsport Seatbelts, OEM Fire Extinguisher, Z8 Starter button, Auto dim rear view mirror w/ Homelink/Compass, PDC, Rear Sun Shade, Euro Gauge Cluster w/oil temp/shift light , Headlight Washers, "Motorsport" Door Handles, CF Grills, French ZKW Fogs, Euro dash bins, Power Lumbar Support is next, Coming e39 M5 interior light, Bimmer Magazine 8/2007 | | | 03-31-2006, 05:31 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Tyler, TX Posts: 1,022 | Quote: Originally Posted by clex2 GDB, You mean like this? | Exactly, just with an Odyssey instead of a dynabat. GDB, do you use your ti as your daily driver? One thing about these tiny batteries is that they don't hold a lot of juice. It'll start your car and while your car is running, the alternator/battery are fine. Jutt don't expect your car to start after sitting for a few days, which is even worse if you have any thing to drain your battery, like an alarm. It really for "racing" type applications where you don't need to rely on the battery, cuz it ain't no Die Hard. I have to put my car on a trickle if I don't drive it every few days. It's cool, it's light, but I would rather have Euro's 323ti set up. The only way we are getting that is to cut and weld in a new trunk floor pan. That's a lot of work. __________________ '95 330ti CS w/sr delete, S50USB30, cams, 24# inj, Conforti SW, Euro HFM, Samco Silicone Intake Boot, BBTB, Euro Oil Cooler, JTD CAI Duct, RE DMS exhaust, RE Tranny mounts, CF Valve Cover, LTW flywheel/Kevlar sprung hub clutch, RE SSK, 3.46 Finned LSD (M6) , M3 tranny, Brembos, RE Wheel Studs, SS brake/clutch lines, CF interior, Rear Headrest retrofit, Tilt Steering retrofit, 13.5 lb DynaBatt in rear, LED interior/footwell lights, ZKW HID, Headlight Aim Control, Rear fog light w/cluster indicator, CF 3 Aux gauge pod, BMW Traffic Pro/Alpine MP3-CD Changer, Staggered LTW wheels, '95 M3 steering rack, VIS CF Hood, M3 LTW Strut Bar, TCK SA coilovers, Red LTW Motorsport Seatbelts, OEM Fire Extinguisher, Z8 Starter button, Auto dim rear view mirror w/ Homelink/Compass, PDC, Rear Sun Shade, Euro Gauge Cluster w/oil temp/shift light , Headlight Washers, "Motorsport" Door Handles, CF Grills, French ZKW Fogs, Euro dash bins, Power Lumbar Support is next, Coming e39 M5 interior light, Bimmer Magazine 8/2007 | | | 03-31-2006, 06:30 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Tyler, TX Posts: 1,022 | Quote: Originally Posted by clex2 Yes, he cover was custom made from a piece of plastic and some cork board. Even had it sit for 4 days and it cranked up fine (I was actually really surprised that it did start). I know the extra cable will cut a little conductivity, but that should be negligible. | | | 10-13-2017, 09:12 AM | #12 | Moderator Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Maryland Posts: 3,220 | Quote: Originally Posted by clex2 GDB, You mean like this? | 11 years later, what battery is that? | | | 10-13-2017, 07:09 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2011 Location: SoCal Posts: 702 | Quote: Originally Posted by BMW_Hatchback 11 years later, what battery is that? | Raising the dead!
