Its an M50 swap with 200,000 miles. Had that been a S50 instead the price would have been almost dead on. | | | 07-13-2008, 03:40 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Isn't the M50 OBD-I or is it just a 2.5? If so that might make it difficult to sell in a market where there is emissions testing. What happens when they connect the tester to the OBD-II port? __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 07-13-2008, 03:45 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Toledo, OHIO Posts: 332 | thats cool thanks for the info..... It is a 99 that i paid almost what im ask for less than a year ago and i swaped a engine in it that yes has a lot of miles but still runs great. With regular maintenance it will run forever. thats not including the extra money i put into it. Im not even asking for what i ended up putting into the car also have a OBO on the price. If your not looking to buy a car dont post. __________________ 99 black ti sport | | | 07-13-2008, 03:46 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Toledo, OHIO Posts: 332 | yes obd1. thank you for bringing that up. If your not looking to buy a car dont post. | Haha I am looking for a car. definitely not this one though. (emmissions) It is a feeler thread correct? so I was telling you how I feel about your price. Even after you were being snobby I'm going to wish you good luck with your sale. | | | 07-13-2008, 04:57 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Toledo, OHIO Posts: 332 | Well thank you and yes it is a feeler thread. Im not trying to be snobby im just trying to be real. I bought the car less then a year ago put mods on the car and a (old engine) but good engine in the car. That being said im only "asking" 1k over what i paid and i have more then 2k in parts on the car. But as i keep saying OBO Im sorry if i came off snobby. if you wanna talk prices on a car pm me, not post it in the thread that im way off on my price. Because im not way off on my price. Maybe if it was a 96 base with a swap then yeah im asking to much but for the price i paid then labor i think its a good deal. emmissions are a big factor on the sale that i totaly forgot about so if you live in an area with testings this would not be the car for you! __________________ 99 black ti sport | | | 07-13-2008, 12:47 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | I paid $800 over KBB for my car in 2000 and it needed tires and exhaust. I think I had 60K-80K miles. YMMV. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 07-17-2008, 08:02 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2003 Location: Toledo, Ohio Posts: 130 | Is this the black Ti I see sometimes on the Anthony Wayne Trail? I never realized it had a motor swap. I haven't really been driving my Ti as much, though the reason is a bit . . . odd. I want to see how many more miles I can put on the truck before catastrophic failure. Motor has never been cracked open and it has over 200k on it. . . | | | 07-17-2008, 09:24 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by Blueiii I want to see how many more miles I can put on the truck before catastrophic failure.
