It's a kind of exhaust manifold yeah. I usually think of it like...A header is an exhaust manifold, but an exhaust manifold isnt necessarily a header. __________________ Vince Carknard 1995 318ti Active Hellrot, 16" 5 spoke, "Fogged" airbox mod, Stromung exhaust, Bilstein Sports, BMW sport springs, 3.73lsd, others... | | | 07-18-2005, 01:11 AM | #17 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Florida Posts: 1,595 | I bet the aftermarket has a deeper louder sound though. I really want to get it so I can complete my Supersprint exhaust. How about if everyone here on the forum buys one, then we could probably get a group buy on them for like $200-$400? | | | 07-18-2005, 02:51 AM | #18 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: North Saint Paul, MN Posts: 606 | Quote: Originally Posted by Viper3812 I bet the aftermarket has a deeper louder sound though. I tihnk I know who to ask, it's the same guy that I bought my tires and resonator from. He is starting his own bmw business and starting it up soon. He owns a 318is and is going to have Supersprint products and will probably help us. | | | 07-19-2005, 06:25 AM | #21 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | yea if you guys GB the header let me know. | | | 07-22-2005, 05:59 AM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Colyumbia S.C. If no one has noticed... that header is either a reversed image, is not the picture of the one for our car, or is just made really really wrong. The head flange on the header for our cars is on the passenger side. That header has the flange set up as if our exhaust ports were on the drivers side. | | | 11-09-2005, 12:48 AM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Tampa, FL Posts: 108 | I would argue that it's headers, only because while it is only one unit, I believe that each pipe on the exhaust manifold classifies as a header, therefore giving us 4-2-1 piping, making it headers. But I still say exhaust manifold. __________________ http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i1...ata/bmwsig.jpg '95 Hellrot Red 318ti • 18x8" E46 M3 Chromes • Eagle F1 GS-D3 (225/35/18) • Cosmo Racing CAI • Sony CDX-M800 Headunit • MTX Thunder 8000 Subwoofer • Audiobahn A8000T Amp • MTX Sledgehammer 12" Ported Box | | | 11-09-2005, 01:14 AM | #26 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Florida Posts: 1,595 | Quote: Originally Posted by Hawkster LOL I was wondering the same thing... I don't even think it's worth it man | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
