Default Rear Bumper

Hi I've just got a 318ti Sport but i need to replace the rear bumper as it is damaged. I've been looking on ebay and on these forums to try and work out which one i need to get and to be frank I am utterly bemused by the options.

The car is W reg 2000 but is the sport. I've seen mention of mtech which i think is an after market extra on here but don't really know.

I have also seen stuff about E36 which i presume is the model 1996-2004?

Pretty confused. whats the standard spec on this car as i'm really confused.
P.s sorry if i sound so stupid
Cheers
Matt

if it's a sport you need the Mtech bumper, consider yourself lucky, it's a lot easier to find them in Europe than in America

the E36 body style was from 92-00

Thanks for that. I've seen one described on ebay as a E36 COMPACT M SPORT http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1608756175...9#ht_500wt_949

which i thought was good for mine but i emailed the bloke and he seemed to think mine was an E46 which gave me even more doubts.

Am i right in thinking :E36 have rectangular rear lights (as does mine) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:19...-11-18)_02.jpg
and E46 the slightly more crafted shape. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:BM...r_20071104.jpg

he's probably confused because there is some overlap with the body styles, the E46 sedan was introduced in 99

yours is an E36 and that bumper will fit your car, looks like it's an awesome deal if you can get it for close to the starting bid
