Default PSS9's

Do pss9's from a e36 match up on our ti's? or is there more to it?

Still looking for a answer from someone who knows what they're talking about.

Ok, cause I have access to a set of new pss9's for a quarter of what bilstein sells them for.

Mav you're a dumbass...

The normal e36 pss9 front's will fit but you will have problems with the rear fitment.

They are not designed for the ti.

By the way. I'm a mechanical engineer, I've forgotten more about suspension theory and design then you'll most likely ever know.

kthxbye

You're pretty immature to be a mechanical engineer. You sure you're not 16 or something? Hell, minicoop is more mature than you and xeno.

ok...to be honest with you, I think you've been around here long enough to know the answer to your own question.

Just to make sure, the answer is yes, but then you would have to buy PSS9s for an E30 and fit the rear ones.

In short, E36 fronts fit, E30 rears fit.

Come on man, seriously, this is why everyone bashes you, you keep posting stuff that you could potentially find on our own forum, or if you do a little research, (like maybe the manufacturer's website )

Out of all people, you should know the answer. You're on this forum way more than other people that regularly log on.
You should know by now that our rear uses suspension uses the same as E30 cars.
Here, so this thread will be over.

Bilstein even separated the 318ti/323ti from the rest of the E36s, just for you.

Thread regarding rear suspension fitment.

kthxbye

I don't think e30 rears will work. I mean, sure they might fit, but they're not meant for the Ti. Unless Bilstein designed them to work on both cars??? I know when VROOMCP(David) bought Bilstein sport shocks for his Ti, they accidentally shipped him e30 rears and he blew 2 or 3 rear shock mounts in just a couple of days. They eventually realized their mistake and replaced them with proper 318ti rear shocks. Maybe the PSS9 is different in that they designed the rears to work on a wider range of semi trailing arm BMW's, but as I said before in previous threads, it's best to stick with kits that were specifically designed for 318ti's. And to answer Maverix's question, The fronts will fit fine, but the spring rates will be a little too stiff if the e36 PSS9 kit is for a 6cyl model. If it's for a 4cyl model it'll work no problem. Rears may fit, but they won't work properly.
