Default ITS ALIVE!

Two painstakingly long but fruitless troubleshooting sessions this weekend, one brainstorm at the office today, 5 minutes to fix a simple mistake, turn the key and presto!!!!!!!

All I had to do was switch the fuel supply and return lines back to their correct location.

The difference between an engineer (me) and a mechanic. I way overthought the problem and was trying to come up with the most complex solution possible :-)

Is there a Happy Dance icon?

Not sure if that video link will work or not.

First real drive today as I took it into the office. Observations:

1. It feels like a completely different car. Above 3,000 RPM the thing takes off. Not sure if this is the engine, the M50 manifold, or the TRM chip, or some combo, but what a blast.
2. The engine is silky smooth, much smoother than my I4 particularly at idle. Not even a hint of vibration in the shifter.
3. I like the sound of the stock 328 exhaust with just the OBD1 resonators. It's currently installed with no cats. An extra sensor bung on the rear header is rubbing the passenger firewall, so that is going to require some "massaging". It's still a temporary setup until I figure out what I want to do.
4. My clutch still isn't where I want it to be after tons of bleeding. I have only about 1\2" of room between the floor and the clutch grabbing. I would like to get it further up into the stroke.
5. The tranny is a little notchier than I was expecting. See #4. The new detents are probably contributing as well.
6. Got a minor power steering ooze that I need to investigate. Probably from bottom of reservoir connections.
7. Will have to recharge AC at some point but not a priority this time of year.

All-in-all commute # 1 was a success.
