Putting the hotwire MAF off of an M44 on an M42... Because to be perfectly honest, that flapper thingie doesn't really convince me. Anyone know if this is possible? Or maybe an M44 Intake manifold on an M42... Dual resonance and all that mumbo jumbo :P Any ideas? __________________ 1996 Hellrot 318ti - RIP | | | 08-27-2003, 01:41 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Tucson, AZ Posts: 290 | BMPD does have an upgrade to a mass air sensor from our mechanical meter. i dont know the price, but you can get a free catalog from their website. that upgrade caught my eye...looks more free flowing and much more reliable. __________________ Vince Carknard 1995 318ti Active Hellrot, 16" 5 spoke, "Fogged" airbox mod, Stromung exhaust, Bilstein Sports, BMW sport springs, 3.73lsd, others... | | | 08-27-2003, 08:49 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Panama City, Panama Posts: 122 | Well I saw that on the site... but no picture :\ However, it's an interesting idea.. I'm gonna check with my dealership (the sales dude has like a zillion BMPD catalogs).. On the site it just says "318is" next to an M20.. same piece? will it fit? and crap, for $900 i'll spend the extra $800 and get the indepedent throttle bodies :P Anyone got one of those? I've still got my reservations... :\ __________________ 1996 Hellrot 318ti - RIP | | | 08-27-2003, 09:51 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Tucson, AZ Posts: 290 | well if you got the seperate throttle bodies you would probably want that mass air sensor as well. both of those would be a good combo __________________ Vince Carknard 1995 318ti Active Hellrot, 16" 5 spoke, "Fogged" airbox mod, Stromung exhaust, Bilstein Sports, BMW sport springs, 3.73lsd, others... | | | 08-28-2003, 07:21 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Panama City, Panama Posts: 122 | indeed.. actually went back to the site and I was wondering why the friggin thing was $900.. it has the sensor converter and the AFM thing. hm.. now all i need is the moola hehe __________________ 1996 Hellrot 318ti - RIP | | | 08-28-2003, 09:10 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Tucson, AZ Posts: 290 | need moola...i know how it is...always need more of it... __________________ Vince Carknard 1995 318ti Active Hellrot, 16" 5 spoke, "Fogged" airbox mod, Stromung exhaust, Bilstein Sports, BMW sport springs, 3.73lsd, others... | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
