I've been a ti enthusiast for about 6 years now and have a Black 95 sport with almost 200K on the clock. I may have met some of you folks at various races and AUtoX's... Recently my girlfriend bought a base bone stock white 95 ti with only 60K on the clock. It even still had the crappy wheel covers on. She had hoped to modify the crap out of it. About 2 weeks ago it was stolen from her apartment in Sacramento. Any sightings or other information would be greatly appreciated. Please email me at psudom3@yahoo.com. Thanks, Jeff | | | 09-29-2005, 06:37 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: North Saint Paul, MN Posts: 606 | I'm sorry to hear about that. At least she hadn't put any major amounts or work or money into the mods yet. I'd keep an eye out, but I doubt I'll see anything in MN. __________________ '96 Alaska Blue ti w/ Supersprint cat-back exhaust...Dinan CAI & Chip...Eibach Pro-Kit Springs...Bilstein Sport shocks...BavAuto camber kit...Brembo d/s rotors...UUC SSK...Centerforce Dual Friction clutch...TMS 9lb flywheel...18 inch OZ Rims...Carbon-Fiber dash/gauge bezel...Momo Shift Knob...Indiglo gauges...Schroth Harness...ZKW's/ProLumen 6k HID...Predator Chromiums http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...urowerksig.jpg | | | 09-29-2005, 08:12 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | That sux. Was this the car purchased in Massachusets? Maybe it will work out if they strip the car of it's bumpers, mirrors, front seats, 15" alloys and 1.9L. Then insurance will kick in and you can get the M goodies instead. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 09-29-2005, 11:55 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | 95 has unpainted skirts and lower bumper correct? i'll throw a lookout on the other forums i frequent. just in case the criminal is dumb enough, what're the tags (or at least the last three digits)? __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 09-30-2005, 12:40 AM | #5 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Quote: Originally Posted by 96cali That sux. That is kind of pointless for a ti when there is plenty available in the western part of the us. Sorry to hear about your situation, that really sucks. | There was a member here who last year had a ti, bought one for his GF out east and drove it cross country back to the west coast. It was base model that they planned on modding together. Sounded like the same story. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 10-02-2005, 02:44 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2003 Location: Toledo, Ohio Posts: 130 | make that 2 white Tis stolen this week. . . Did you have a couple and forget where you parked? C'mon fess up! It's always good news to discover your car after your SURE someone stole it. I drove an '83 Dodge Omni in college. I ususally walked to school but one day I drove right to class from somewhere else. I walked home at 2am tired as hell and got all freaked cuz my car was not in front of my apt. as usual. After some choice words and what my parents would say, I remembered it was back at school so off I went, pissed and tired. As if someone would steal an Omni... __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 10-14-2005, 04:59 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Boston MA Posts: 221 | I always think that 318ti is not a high-theft risk vehicle, due to its relatively low production number. If the car thief is for a joy ride, they would pick a M3. If they are for the parts, they would pick a Honda/Toyota of which parts are of high demand and easier to sell in black market. __________________ 1998 BMW 318ti M-Tech Sport Silver (Gone to member leeko617) CURRENT: 2015 BMW X1, 2004 BMW 330ci Convertible, 1998 Porsche Boxster, 2001 BMW 525i Touring GONE: 2000 Audi A4, 2002 VW Passat, 1985 VW Cabriolet | | | 10-14-2005, 11:30 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2003 Location: Toledo, Ohio Posts: 130 | Quote: Originally Posted by 96cali LOL!
